Zaventem
Brussels International Airport - If you arrive
at Brussels main Airport, Zaventem, Brussels centre
city is only twenty minutes away by train. The Airport
City Express goes to Brussels Midi Station, Central
Stations and North Station every fifteen minutes.
A one way ticket from the airport to the centre of
Brussels is about €3 and there is a slightly
dearer ticket to travel first class. When you collect
your baggage, the train station is in the lowest floor
of the airport “Level –1” right
in the actual airport terminal. If you want the precise
departure times go to Belgium Rail website –
www.b-rail.be – and put in Zaventum as the departure
or destination station.
By bus, you go to the bus station which is below
the Arrivals Hall – go down through the Diamond
Area by escalators or by life. Information on local
buses to and from the airport from +32 (0) 70 220
200. You can also get hotel shuttles from the airport
– check with your hotel.
If you want to travel further than Brussels
centre city, you can get train or bus connections
from the Airport.
Outside the Arrivals Hall you will find Taxis to
the centre of Brussels. The fare from the airport
to the centre of Brussels is around
€30-€35 – you may as well check this
before starting out.
Brussels South Airport – Charleroi
Airport South Brussels
This the second airport for Brussels is some 46 kilometers
from Brussels Centre. 14 European cities are served
from this airport on a daily basis – mainly
by Ryanair. As the airport is smaller than Zaventem,
moving through it is quicker and easier.
To get to central Brussels from Brussels
South Charleroi Airport is simple, just get
the coach service that leaves at least twenty times
a day, mainly linking in with flight arrivals. The
coach leaves you at Midi Station in the centre of
Brussels. On the way to Charleroi Airport, you’ll
find the coach between Rue de France and Rue de L’Instruction
– follow exit Thalys – Midi Railway Station.
The cost of the coach is about €11 - €12
and you get your ticket on the Coach.
