Brussels
Hotel - Brussels has numerous types of accommodations
and the one you choose depends on how much you want
to spend, location, hospitality, Services, and Uniqueness.
You have the top end hotels located near central Brussels,
mid & lower expensive hotels, and Bed & Breakfast
places. You probably get the most for your money with
a Bed & Breakfast place – the second time
I visited Brussels, I stayed at a 3 *** Bed &
Breakfast. Booking your hotel is very easy - once
you know the approximate dates of your visit have
a look online to see what the deals and offers are.
Brussels is a city with very many business visitors.
Hotels tend to be busier during the weekdays so if
it suits your itinerary look at weekend prices, from
Friday to Sunday nights and in many cases, the cost
will be much more attractive.
If you go for a Bed & Breakfast place,
make sure you look at all the details – desired
location, will you have your own living room, bathroom
and kitchen or will you be sharing with other renters?
What form of payment they accept? Generally you pay
a deposit when you book that is nonrefundable and
pays the rest before you leave the BB accommodation.
They may offer a typical French Breakfast of croissants,
coffee, pastries, butter, homemade jams, deli-meats,
cheese, and crusty bread or a more Wallonian style
breakfast that includes just a croissant and coffee.
Here is a great website to check these out at http://www.bnb-brussels.be/.
Also, it helps to speak some French as many owners
are not fluent in English but, know some basic words
of course. In addition it’s a great way to practice
the French language that you know and you will meet
some very interesting people since generally you will
eat breakfast with other tenants.
More basic hotels cost between 35 and 50 Euros for
a single room, and 50 – 70 for a double room.
Mid-range hotels charge between 70 – 75 Euros
for a single room per night, and 62 – 125 Euros
for a double. The Topend hotels charge 100 –
200 Euros upwards for a single/double hotel rooms
per night. Bed & Breakfast places
charge between 25 – 60 Euros for a single per
night, and about 35 – 65 for doubles.
Here are a few Brussels

available. Your best bet is to spend some time online
to find out what’s available and what are the
best deals and discounts for the time of your visit.
